Reverse Inverted Thigh Hold
The key to this move is to pay special attention to the points of contact. This is not a fundamental pole trick so it’s perfectly ok to skip this trick.

Is it possible to do this without flexing the foot..?
I would say it almost anything is possible but I wouldn’t teach it or do it myself with our using the foot. Maybe if I had some major grip aid on.
Why haven’t I seen this before? Oh well nothing like the present to try it!
My instructor and I have been working on a version of this. Only she doesn’t want me to put my hand below me on the pole…So she has me lean back and hold the pole low, close to the crotch and then hook the foot and then hook the other foot behind. It’s very difficult for me for some reason! I get all tangled up and getting my foot to hook… Maybe I’ll try your version heh.
It would be more secure placing the hand below like shown here.
