If it is painful to place the chair directly on the upper trapezius/neck use a soft towel or blanket in your routine and then place it behind the neck when you need it. A big thank-you to our mystery man 😉

  1. Moonflower, absolutely! You can practice it on an empty chair, just have a spotter for when you’re first trying it out. In my profile, I have a chair dance video where I do that move on an empty chair- just make sure it’s sturdy, armless and you have a spotter until you’re comfortable doing it on your own 🙂

  2. OMG, that guy is SO HOT, lol!! Great lesson, but it did look familiar to me. You’ve done a vid on this before, but with a girl, yes? I must try this!! I’m sure hubby won’t object…

  3. OMG ROFL …I can just imagine doing that and both husband and I landing on the floor because the chair falling over because I pushed of the floor too much.

  4. i’d like to tell you what i’m doing differently with this move – for me it is easier as i feel more confident with having more “grip” on his thighs.
    1. i let him sit on a couch, with the butt very close to the edge and legs spread, his hands far away from his body, lying on the couch, to prevent him from touching you! 😉
[also, i have much more trust in a couch than in a chair, because of my fear it could tip over, lol!]
    2. the invert i do with my arms around his thighs – i grab them from the outside, putting my hands on the inside, or the back of his thighs. (wohoo, this is quite difficult to explain, and much easier to show…)
now my neck rests between his thighs on the front of the couch, and woop, up go the legs! 🙂

  5. ginger- what a great idea!!! you explained it beautifully!

kiki- you can absolutely do the move without anyone in the chair- your booty will just end up resting against the chairs back. just make sure you have a spotter there with you the first few times you try it 🙂 i think in my chair dance video in my profile i do it on a chair without anyone in it 🙂
