Week 8 – Hip holds (Thigh holds)
This weeks VIP plan is all about hip holds though you might also know them as thigh holds. I’m sharing 2 hip hold tutorials with multiple variations included. The exercises and stretches I’ve included will also help you with Jade once you’re ready!
Items you’ll need:
- A pole.
Beginner work these tricks from the floor. Intermediate from up on the pole. Give them all at least 3 tries but no more than 10 attempts each side, each pole session.
Intermediate students can work on the Money routine while Advanced students you’ll find a slow motion break down of this neat combo Adv Hip Hold Combo, using hip holds and butterflies!
Perform all exercise 3 times per week on the same days you train your tricks and routines.
Hip internal rotations 3 sets of 15-25 reps, each side
Pole leg lifts 3 sets of 15-25 reps, each side
Flow or hold these stretches for 30 to 60 seconds or as long as you like.
