I don’t think there are too many preggo here right now but, I can give you a few ideas. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_idea.gif If you have a pole you can still use it, but just differently then the non preggos lol. Work on flexibility (BUT be careful not to over stretch, you have relaxing in your body to prepare for birth and this makes your ligaments loose) having pretty, soft hands and pointy toes (just be aware if you point your toes too hard you could get those nasty calf cramps), hip rolls are fun, dance around and have fun, work on posture and keeping movements flowing …use to pole to keep your balance so you don’t tip over. lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif Don’t work on spins and no more inverts.

If you don’t have a pole walk, swim… swimming is wonderful for you and can be a great way to cool down and take a load off. haha. Squats are great to prepare your body for birth, just be sure your doing them properly. Yoga is amazing too, it can really help you tap into your body and also prepare you for labor! Enjoy your new fab body https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Just found out I am!!! Only 5 – 6 weeks, and quite a surprise!

I haven’t started inverting yet though, which is a shame as I am worried I won’t get to now until after the baby?

Surely we can do some small spins…. no? Gutted as I only started in May and I LOVE it!

I’d say do small spins until your belly gets in the way!! lol I only got 2 more weeks left!! Unfortunately it’s most likely going to be a c-section unless this little girl decides to turn which equals more recovery time and more wait time to get to the pole… booooooooooooooooooooooo

Don’t stress about it, your baby might just turn when its ready. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Glad to see the ideas from other prego pole dancers. I’m only 11 weeks along now but plan on just playing by ear on when I need to stop doing different moves as my body changes. I’m hoping to keep teaching as long as I can because I will really miss it when I have to stop!

For me I stopped climbing and inverting at 4 months, I still had fun dancing around. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I just found out I’m pregnant! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif SO happy about it, not too worried about the wrench it will throw into my pole dancing ambitions……I’m not totally ready to stop inverting yet, but no more working on new inverts…….I really want to keep spinning, I don’t want to completely lose all my arm strength! I plan to mostly work on my flexibility and take advantage of my softening bones.

Bec3231 – have you had your little girl yet???

Thank you so much Veena! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif I’m SO excited, I’m sure I will take your offer to ask for guidance…..I’ve been a regular runner and with my past 2 pregnancies I scaled it back to just walking and yoga….but lately I’ve been hearing that it’s fine to keep up your regular level of activity so I think I may try to continue to run for as long as it feels good.

I’m so new to pole dance, I know it will be hard for me to slow down – I just want to make sure I’m safe about it. I reallllllly want to get more flexible, I think that should be my ultimate goal during this time. That’s really encouraging to hear you can bounce right back – I feel like it’s taken so long to build up the strength I have today, I’m worried about losing it all! You were so back so soon….but you’ve also been doing this for years! Alright…..I’m off to watch your pregnant pole dance video https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif xoxo
