I have heard that people on here like the pleaser shoes…

I heard great things about Pleaser too. I don’t personally own any (but I am in the market for some) but the shoes I dance in are a lot like them from what I can tell and I love em!
I think anything that you feel good in and that is comfy enough for you to walk in will work https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I just bought 2 pairs of shoes from yandy.com, cost me about $65 and they should be arriving today! I got the pleasers sweet-208, they have a cone shaped heel cuz i cant walk or balance at all in heels, and pleasers kiss-208 for when I get better at it!

Ok. I’ll look into Pleaser. Meleania, let me know how you like yours when you get them. Let me know how they fit, too. I’m an 8 or 9 depending on the shoe brand, so I don’t know which size I would get…

Ellie and Pleaser are probably the best. They are pole dancing shoes intended for long-term use.
I have wide feet so I’m looking into getting a wide model once I have money saved up. I think being used to walking in comfy shoes, that when my toes all crammed into a narrower shoe it throws off my balance.

I got my shoes!!! My feet are size 8 normally, I went to my local sex store (Lover’s Package) to find pleaser shoes to try on to get the right size, the 8 was kinda small so I got 9, at first my feet were all squished but I read that the plastic expands as you wear them cuz it gets warm. After just laying on the couch wearing them for a couple hours now they fit perfectly! I didnt know how to walk in heels until someone explained to me, you walk on the front part and only use the back part when you need more balance, that made alot more sense than anything anyone else has told me. before I got my shoes ive been walking around on my tippy toes to try to strengthen my legs. One thing i dont like is that carpet though, its waaay more unstable and im scared ill roll my ankle so I hold on to my pole lol (still a heels beginner) I read that you have to be careful of the cone shaped heel cuz the edges are sharp, its not thaat bad. I looked in the mirror at the bottom part of the shoe and my foot is wider than the shoe part you stand on and you can see the under part of the sides of my feet from below, if you can picture that…is that normal? getting a size 10 would be too big. but I can’t recall seeing anyones feet being as narrow as those shoes are lol

I think I see what you’re describing in some of the on-line pictures of these shoes. Some of the pictures show the toes hanging over the edge a little, too. Weird. But if they’re comfortable and cute then who cares? Have you danced in them yet?

Pleasers are so comfy for heels!
Although I have carpet in my pole room, and I find if I swivel on the ball of my foot it marks the carpet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif Is kinda annoying, but the marks come off with stain removal foam stuff. -
I buy the majority of my shoes from http://www.pinkstilettoshop.com. They have a great selection and well made shoes. I havent had any probs with them so far. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif
They are a bit more pricy than some sites but in my opinion its worth it for the good quality.
I bought a pair of clear heels from some random site for like 30 bucks and after wearing them quite a bit the plastic has stretched out SO much that they are wobbly on my feet and i cant wear them to dance anymore. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Actually walking only on the balls of the feet is the incorrect way to do it, but a very common way. You should walk heel to toe, like in regular shoes. I know it’s difficult to balance but it’s something you must learn to do right. The earlier you start practicing the better! There’s lots of vids on the internet to help. Of course, it’s easy for me to say coz I’ve been wearing heels since I was about 4 (not all the time of course hahahaha! But I loved to dress up as a ‘Princess’ hehe!).
Anyway, if anyone wants some guidance on how to walk in heels, here’s a start:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAP-jVtZD6cExcerpt:
"Most women incorrectly shuffle their feet, placing their weight on the ball of the foot and throwing their bodies off-balance, Chu learned. It sounds simple, Chu says, but the three keys to wearing very high heels successfully are:– Standing up straight, as if you were pulling a string from the top of your head
– Keeping your abdominal muscles taut by sucking your belly button in toward your spine, which pulls your body weight back onto your heels
– Walking heel to toe with a slightly exaggerated hip sway, rather than mincing around on the ball of the foot.

Shoes! Stripper shoes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I only wear pleaser shoes as the first pair I bought fitted perfectly and their sizing is true to size. They are surprisingly comfortable. I wore one of their platform boots out one night and lasted the whole night.
Those in the U.S and U.K are lucky as pleasers are so cheap there.
Here in Australia, a pleaser pair of shoes costs $90 to $100 including shipping (these are the cheaper prices. It can get ALOT more expensive). It’s still cheaper for me to purchase from overseas. I pay almost double in shipping fees! This has given me an idea, I’m going to do a video on my shoes and ask for video responses from other dancers and their shoes! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif
