While it could be a calcium/potassium/magnesium deficiency most likely it is an over point of your toes causing muscle fatigue…lots of people actually cramp up when doing this because of the tendency to curl the toes down hard when pointing – try pointing more with the bend in your ankle and a straight line with your toes…does that make sense lol…less curling the toes down which isn’t necessary to get a pretty straight line.To stop the cramp, flex your foot by pointing your toes upward. Hope that helps somewhat. Also spinach, milk and bananas never hurt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Eat them nanners! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I was a really active kid and I got muscle cramps all the time. Especially bad in my legs. My mom always gave me bananas instead of tylenol and it seems to actually work as a remedy that way and not just in preventing them.

I love bananas! I used to hate them, silly me.

I’m also gonna state an obvious possibilty which prob isn’t the case but thought I’d throw it out here anyway. Make sure you’re drinking plently of water. You cramp more when you don’t have enough fluids to flush all the stuff outta the muscels fast enough.

The number 1 cause of cramping/charley horses in the lower extremities is DEHYDRATION, 2. is calcium deficiency, and 3 is Potassium….most people are not hydrated properly…you need to drink 6-6 glasses of water a day depending on your level of activity. I drink 2 gals. a day when I’m working out….because your body is mostly water! I used to work for a Doc in sports medicine…the people he treated were always dehydrated.LOL

Myself I suffered awful cramping/charley horses in my calves and my feet until I started drinking a lot of water *per his insistence), I already got enough calcium and I eat bananas everyday…I just needed to drink more water! LOL https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Whenever I get a cramp in my foot I put my foot flat on the floor and push down hard, it seems to take the pain away! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

You could try a sports drink like Gatorade too while you pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
