    Tips for training both sides?

I’ve really been working on my left side for the last few weeks (leftover from fleur workshop, and the shame I felt in my lats and trap)

    But.. yeah.

My left arm seems to drag along the pole like it wants for a wrist band! I also have a hard time coordinating my legs for left side spins. Really hard time. I took some video footage and it was painful to watch.

Anyone know any nice exercises to make the nondominant side as "smart" as the dominant?
I’ve noticed my side is STRONGER, but nothing feels right on it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Keep doing it! Working on some yoga may be helpful for you to get "in touch" with your non dominant side too. But really just keep at it, it always feels really odd to me when start working on moves with my non dominant side, but with time it gets much better. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_elephant.gif because poor elephant never gets used!

I agree – keep practicing. When I first started massaging, I found it soo hard to get my stupid, DUMBass left hand/arm to cooperate. Eventually it caught on because it had to. Its really more about training your brain than anything – start trying to do more day to day things (like brushing your hair or your teeth) with your left hand, and good luck! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

If you’ve really neglected your non-dom side I would suggest starting practicing from basics. Not to say give up working more advanced moves on your dom side, but to build the non-dom up following the same path you originally did with your dom side.

Don’t overwhelm your non-dom side and don’t feel like you have to do your more advanced spins and moves on that side until you’ve re-mastered the basic ones on that side.
