My x-pole is in super speed is there any way to slow it down a little? I am really careful about how fast I move because I am aware its speed is related to how quick I move but no matter what I do it goes really really really fast!!
Any ideas on how to slow it down?

It is about a year and a half old. I have only used static mode until now.

Some X Poles spin slow, some spin fast… I have a suspicion it’s to do with the precise angle it’s put up at. So, if you take it down (or just loosen it) and re-seat it then tighten it up again, it might make a difference.

Mine used to spin ultra-fast when it was new and is now fairly reasonable – but I don’t know if that’s just because I can control it more now!

Actually at the moment mine is stopping half way and then wanting to go the other way when I spin it by hand, so I should take my own advice and re-seat it…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

If you have OVERTIGHTENED your pole against the ceiling then it will not spin as fast and as freely. The adjuster rod should not be tightened so much that you can no longer turn it.

Yeah I tried my pole on spinny mode for the first time last night. I just jumped into fireman position and went round and round until I had to just jump off! It goes so fast, but I think I also have an issue with trusting a spinning pole…!

i’m not looking forward to the first time i dance on a spinny pole, because i’m used to dancing on a brass pole and putting a LOT of momentum in to spins in order to get them to work on such a sticky pole…so i’m gonna go FLYING! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

My x-pole flies like the WIND on spinny mode. It took a lot of getting used to because I was used to having to create my own momentum, so all of a sudden I was like "wooooop and there I go….getting dizzy……ohhhhh, really dizzy……seriously, I AM DIZZY."

The same as with any pole thing, you just get used to it and learn how much momentum you need (probably not much, lol).

Mine has dog hair stuck all in the bottom and I can’t get it out, so it spins slooow compared to the regularly maintained and replaced ones in the studio I take lessons at. I really have to watch my control in class (which is a good thing to learn), when at home I can fling it! It’s still a smooth spin and I like it this speed… so not paying to have it cleaned or replaced https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

My xpole (45 mm titanium) spins ridiculously fast. Should I try tightening it more ? It’s crazy. Driving me nuts. Also slippery as …argh. Frustrated.

I love all the differences. The thinner the pole the faster it spins… probably a good thing that thinner poles generally have better grip. Heh heh. Weeeee!

i have a 50 mm chrome xpole and it never spins fast. i am constantly taking it up and down because the living room is the only usable space i have. i agree that the angle could affect the spinning speed but no matter how many times i put it up, it still spins s-l-o-w. i guess i shouldn't complain too much. sounds like the faster poles are the problem. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
