Okay so I was surprised how easy iMovie is to use, but I have a problem now!

I noticed that iMovie was automatically cropping my video when I put it into a project. This meant that you couldn’t seem the top and bottom of the pole. I figured out how to fix this. (File >Project properties > Timing > Initial Video Placement > Fit in Frame) rather than ‘crop’. It seemed to work on my last project, but isn’t working this time!

Although fit in frame is selected, it’s still cropping my video. I need help with this as i’d love to upload another vid soon https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

i know this is a little off subject, but do you have to convert your format of your videos to work in iMovie?j i have a sony cybershot and the formats aren’t compatible. Did you use a converting software?

    aWiiPeanut,

From what I was able to find iMovie ’08 is hit and miss on the point and shoot cameras. iMovie ’09 from the new iLife however works very well. iPhoto will take the movie files off your camera and iMovie will import them.

iMovie 08 likes to import directly from the camera and depending on your camera this may or may not be possible.
