From what I can tell (and it’s hard to say because of lighting and angle issues) everyone seems to have their pole mounted on a smooth ceiling. I’m wondering what kind of mess/damage a pole would cause to the stipple-y/stucco type stuff on my ceilings… Is it safe for me to assume my bf would be making a repair when we decide to sell our house?

I have patterned artex ceilings, so I just have a piece of plywood between my dome and the ceiling. This also helps spread the weight across more joists as I live in an old house! Hope this helps – happy poling! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Plywood might help! I think standard stipple tends to be looser than artex so it might knock off easier even with plywood…. but I really love patterned artex so maybe me wrecking the ceiling will be a good way to get the stipple replaced with something much prettier! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
