Apparently, when this particular pole dancer is crazed with cabin fever, she peruses websites for wigs. I want flippable hair, even if I have to buy it! I ordered one today–middle of the road but looks pretty decent online. We’ll see. It’s synthetic but I have seen some synthetics that look awfully real. Hopefully this is one of them.

Anyone here have a favorite wig manufacturer?

How well do wigs work doing inverts?

Well, I dunno, but I’m going to find out! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I’d think a good-quality lace front would be best for spending any length of time upside down, but who knows? Maybe it’ll prove me wrong!

Please permit me a teensy bump. Any wig wearers here? Veena, how did yours work out when you did your Vday dancey-dance?

I am so happy someone has posted something about wigs. I love my short hair and when I started pole classes they would show us a move and tell us to use our hair in a move. Well that didn’t work well so I thought I would grow my hair out, didn’t work, So I got my short hair back and bought a few wigs. I have two long wigs and a bob wig. I like them but the bangs are way to long and I am thinking I am going to cut them so you can actually see my face. They do have straps on the inside like bra straps to adjust the tightness. I have done inverts and some good spins without any problems. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I can’t see what brand mine are….I have 2. The long red one I wore for the Feb challenge I bought at Sexworld in Minneapolis https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif The blond wig, I purchased at a wig shop also in Minneapolis. They are both synthetic. Both of them have an adjustable hook thingy (to be technical) lol and it keeps the wig on nice and tight. It looks like the straps on a bra. Also I had to trim the bangs a little bit on both of the wigs, I have a small head. I brush them gently from the bottom to the top, I love them! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Oh…to help keep the heaver and longer wig on for the Challenge you can see that I wrapped a head band around too, it looks cute and keep the wig from shifting.

Alright, I have great news! My hair is very thin, so when I first started dancing I bought a wig, it always felt like it was going to come off. I ended up getting extensions (sew in’s), in which I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. I had the first extensions in for 1.5 months and I went back and got different put in and I had it for about 2 months. When I took them out I felt bald. Very upsetting. I cut my hair short and started wearing my wigs again. The trick is to brush your hair straight back and spray it with some good hair spray. I let my hair dry after spraying it for a good five mins. I also use eyelash glue right under my hair line on my for head and i glue a very small thin piece of the wig to my forhead. It DOESNT MOVE THE WHOLE TIME. Works very great. If you decide to glue your wig down I would make sure to you eyelash glue and NOT hair extension glue. (It is way more difficult to get off if a little gets into your hair. Hope this helps! Breanne

Forever young brand wigs are FABULOUS for the price, adn they seem to stay put pretty well during inverts, too

My wig came today and I LOVE IT. I went from short hair to boob-length hair in t-minus 30 seconds. Sweet. It needs to be trimmed up a bit, and I’m not sure I’d be comfortable inverting for a long period of time, not because I’m worried it would fall off (I have done some serious head tossing and it’s secure as can be), but because I’d be worried the cap would show through.

    Hooray for hair flipping!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

Bumping up this old thread because I LOVE wigs.

I have a favorite store downtown and I can’t seem to get out of there without buying 2-3 luckily I don’t go there often.

for helping keep them in place while dancing I use double sided tape found in fabric stores to help hold costumes in place. I have only once had a problem with one coming off and it was while doing a plow into a roll over, I think it got caught under my shoulder.
