I know where I usually like to buy stuff to dance around in,
But I have a performance at my University coming up and I need something that covers my butt cheeks and is appropriate for a family audience, but that allows for maximum skin gripping, and that is artistic.
I would like to wear black shorts, and a top thats not a micro bikini….lol
and I would really like to find something that is pretty, flowy, sparkly, or fairy like. Something that is creative and sets the mood.

I love Triple Threat Dancewear, but they’re out in Cali, and they apparently need 8-10 weeks for shipping. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
I just bought some poleskivvies, so hopefully those will work out as shorts,
but I love the idea of having a Tulle Bustle, (I might make one…)
or a butterfly shaped top, or a wrap top, something that bares middrif but covers boobs lol
I also really like the idea of a hooded top cause its dark.
and i love the american apparel sparkly shortscause they do cover butt, but then the waist band comes up to your boobs https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif.

anyway Ive been searching all over the internet but I can’t really seem to find what im looking for.
Help! Does anyone have any ideas or know of any websites/brands that do neat costumes like this?

    Thanks so much!
    Stephanie

I made a vampirish burlesque outfit for halloween that turned out to be a prizewinner, and I am NO seamstress. It was washable fabric glue and velcro, baby. Took a regular cami and glued awesome beaded fringe to the straps, then another strip as a loose strap that would slide down my arms. Then I wore an underbust corset I already had. I made a skirt (again, glue and velcro) that was all short and drapey in the front, and had a tulle bustle that I tucked into the back. Bustles are so incredibly easy to make, and require no sewing, no glue, no nothing at all. Just fold, scrunch, and tuck, then repeat until happy. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Last but not least, I wore a pair of booty shorts that had garters attached, so I was covered but not puritanical, lol.

And definitely check out the I WANT thread!!!
