Fake XPERTS on EBay?
Would I be wrong in assuming that if an X-Pert is on Ebay, it is probably real since it seems too close to when they were released for fake ones to be popping up?

I can’t say as I haven’t yet seen them, although I do know that xpole do legitimately sell xpoles on ebay. Also, if the price is the same and has the same adevertising as xpole than it’s probably safe to assume it’s legit. I’m pretty sure any legitimate business can become an X-Pole dealer. You can find all the info on X-Pole and re-sale on their site. However, I would be concerned if they are drastically lower in price, but if it’s just 10-20 bucks, or free shipping, it’s most likely a certified dealer.
You can support your favorite pole dancer or pole studio by purchasing a pole from them (if they sell x poles). It’s the same price as on xpoleus.com, but they benefit from re-selling. I will be buying mine from Karol (once I recover financially from the USPDF trip https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_moneyeyes.gif ). Good luck! -
I agree with chloe, in that you could buy your pole from a dealer, eg. studioveena. It means they make some money, but it doesn’t cost you any more than it would normally. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I got my pole off of ebay for an amazing price, needless to say I was nervous about its authenticity. I tell ya, if it truly is a fake X-pole I certainly cannot tell the difference (meaning I think it’s real, fake ones are obvious from what I hear). I agree with previous posts, if the price is usual for an X-pole, it is more than likely legitimate. If, however, the price is much lower (I won the bid on mine for $150), then you are taking a risk. I am looking in to buying Angie-poo’s Xpert which she bought off of ebay (see Items for Sale/Trade) for a really really great price, and I just wanted to see if anyone thought it would be/could be fake.

Legitimate and honest dealers have an agreement with Xpole that they may not sell Xpoles for less than the stated retail price. The only part of the cost that can be negotiated is the shipping.
So for example with the original Xpoles…..they may ADVERTISE $269 but then add $30 shipping….or they advertise $299 with free shipping. Either way the lowest a retailer is suppose to sell a pole for is $299. If not, Xpole can refuse to supply them with more poles.
If you see someone selling a new pole for less they are cheating Xpole…that may not matter to you, but keep in mind that a dishonest person is usually someone you don’t want to do business with.

This is true for retailers or "resellers", however if the person is not a retailer and just a private party that is selling something they own or no longer can use it doesn’t matter what they sell it for as it’s a private possession. Ex: my hubby sells Harley goods on e-bay, he is not a dealer he just sells what he no longer uses or was the wrong thing and he can’t return it..he is not a Harley dealer/retailer so he’s sells for less than new. It’s best to ask the person before you buy on e-bay they should be able to give you that info.

Actually as I said this is for NEW poles. If you buy it and don’t use it as a private consumer then you can certainly take a loss on the price you paid for it even if you never used and can sell it as "new" condition.
Even retailers can sell used Xpoles for less than the retail price.
