Drop into inverted bomb
Hi everyone,
Has anyone else been checking Oona’s move on this vid at about 2:40:

It’s some sort of version of gemini where she spins around, hooks with the armpit in an outside leg hold, and lets the leg drop so she lands an inverted bomb.
Am I reading that right or has someone else already broken this down?

Looks like a bridged scorpio going into a spinning scorpio but doesn’t hook the second leg and goes into a hip hold tuck from the thigh hold. Is that what you see?

To me, it’s a bridged scorpio but switches into a gemini using her body instead of the legs, then into the bomb… the gemini part is really quick, though. That’s what I see…

I love this one! It was in our thread on "drops" a few weeks back. I instruct it this way:
Bridged scorpio/inside leg hang
Single leg inverted crucifix (very quickly dont bother extending leg)
Gemini/outside leg hang
drop to bombWork the combo backwards…start with the drop to bomb and work on that then add each move going back up the combination. You don’t have to do a bridged scorpio but can just do a regular scorpio too.

Just wanted to update: I taught this in class last night to a group as the last time I only taught it in a private. All 4 students got the combo and now just have to work on refining it. Aside from the bridged scorpio which requires more flexibility than some have, the combo is pretty easy when you break it down.
Oona makes it look even nicer because of her flexibility so she can arch out away from the pole even more during the transitions.

BTW…I haven’t forgotten this but I’ve had too many teens around the house to feel comfortable taping this and talking to a camera the past few days! LOL. I will try to do it soon.

We do not allow tutorials to be directly uploaded on to SV so be sure to post it to YouTube or some place like that, then your more than welcome to post a link here in the forum.
