  • Abdominal Soreness

    So, after my warm up saturday..i was doing spins ect. I went to do a pull up using the pole and as soon as i pulled myself up..my upper abs/right under my rib cage felt this sharp stabbing pain..and here tuesday its still sore when i try and use my ab muscles on the pole..but that is the only time..should i be concerned about this? Or is my abs just sore from using them? lol

    hmmm…you might have pulled a muscle or even popped a rib out of place. You might want to have it checked out by your doc! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

    It is in your abs or ribs more? I pulled one of the muscles between my ribs and it was awful – they take a long time to heal, too – breathing keeps them moving, so they don’t get much of a break. Roxy’s right – you prob should see a doc and make sure everything is okay in there. Feel better soon!

    You may have just pulled an ab muscle, but if you’re having a lot of pain in your ribs, I would suggest seeing a doctor like Roxy and LittleC have already mentioned. If you have not been very physically active before starting pole, it’s easy to overwork yourself and strain something. Take it easy to give your body time to heal itself, and if the pain is in your ribs or is not going away after several days, get yourself to a doc. Hope you feel better soon!
