Getting legs parallel to floor in aysha
Posted by chemgoddess1 on April 29, 2010 at 2:53 pmI know there has to be some sort of trick I am missing. No matter how hard I try they are never more than a 45 degree angle from straight.

I know I sure can’t perform a full flat center split to get that flat appearance. I fake it by keeping my back arched so my butt is sticking out. Then my legs move forward for the V position not straight off to the sides. Have you tried that? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_nemo.gif

Oh, there is no way I am even close to a center split. By "straight" I meant parallel to the floor. Mine are always pointing more towards the ceiling.

Yeah, I get ya. So by keeping the back arched and booty out, and bringing the legs towards the pole and not out to the sides will flatten it all out. So as if you were to sit on the floor in a V straddle, but inverted. I’m terrible at typing things out, does that make sense? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Makes sense. I think the arched back may be my issue. I have that area tight and straight for the core stability.

I should add that if your using an elbow grip, then you wont need as big of an arch if you can lean far enough away from the pole. You need some kind of counter balance so you do fall back into the pole, when the legs move forward. So either booty out or lean way far away.

I just got this move – last night in fact with a split grip. It is as Veena is saying as the legs come down and towards the pole, the bum has to move in the opposite direction to counterbalance yourself otherwise you tip about. Was doing my very happy victory pole dance last night when I got this and held it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
