  Grippy Shoes

  Hello all!

  I recently got my first pair of platform heels (Ellie brand) and I’m finding them ridiculously difficult to dance in because the rubber on the soles is just so grippy. Doesn’t seem to matter what the floor surface is, they’re equally grippy on hardwood, laminate, vinyl tiles, and metal. Has anyone else had this problem with new shoes? I’m wondering if I need to strip the rubber off, or maybe just scuff it up really good on some asphalt or something?

  Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I don’t want to accidentally ruin my shoes trying to fix the problem… LOL.

  Put clear packing tape over the bottoms. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif (works to make them slide on carpet, too)

  Serious second on the packaging tape suggestion. Amazing difference for all of my grippy soles.
