I’ve started poling around a month ago, and I stopped for two weeks b/c I pulled my right neck muscle (not pole related).

Now that I started again my right elbow makes a snapping/popping when I am doing spins (especially spins where I don’t use my left arm much except to steady me). Not sure what it is called, but I think the snapping sound comes from the tendon area on the inner side of my elbow.

It doesn’t hurt right now, but I want to make sure I am not doing something incorrect to damage my elbow. Do I just need to correct my spin posture or strengthen to prevent this?

    Thanks! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

my hips do this. when i put my leg high out to the side mostly if been sitting too long. if there is no redness, pain, swelling, or aches it is more than likely just air moving between joints and not a problem https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Oddly enough, my diaphram used to pop when I rotated my shoulder blades back and forward again. Once I took my break and came back into pole things a bit slower, I found it doesn’t happen anymore.

nice to know that I’m not the only one with popping body parts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
The snapping sound, for the most part, just startles me. It sounds like it should hurt!

My wrists, elbows, shoulders and knees make a clicking/cracking sound too. I’ve been wondering what was causing it and wether it was bad or not!?

If it doesn't hurt, it should be normal. They are just popping (like if you crack you back.) My knees and wrists are creaky, but the wrists might be from doing a lot of computer work and writing…:(

Anyways, my hips like to pop out of place and go back in place when I do boomerangs, and that HURTS, although it is getting better with strength training.

Basically, if it doesn't hutrt, you should be okay. My fiancees chest pops when he starts working out a lot.
