poling and DVT
Well , needless to say I’m a little paranoid to pole..I don’t have a blood clot in my leg, but it was a scare. It all started when I went in Monday to my first actual class (have just been poling @ home) did a hr there for evaluation and then attended my hr class on Tuesday. I got my (as my husband likes to refer to them) dalmation legs that night from all the dot bruises. Wednesday I woke up really sore my calf had been sore mainly. It was my leg that hooks first when I go into a invert..well fast fwd to Thursday around 2pm. I got this new bruise almost 48hr after last being on the pole (weird) and it was a little bigger then my fist and bright red. Everyone thought it was a blood clot just bc of its behavior and looks. Thankfully its not (went and got it checked) but it just reminds you to be carefull..dvt can happen from truama to the leg..and well I kept hitting the leg over and over during class for inverts. I wanted to let everyone know though to be careful, watch and listen to your body and don’t over do yourself..bc a blood clot could happen..and that’s something none of us want to deal with! Happy and safe poling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
