    Hi all

I have the new x pert pole, and 2 of the screws in 2 of the x joints have completely stripped out, I tried taking down my pole today and couldn't because the screws are toast.  so currently my pole is stuck together in the middle section and  I can't get it undone.  I've only used the allen keys they provided, taken the pole down maybe 2 or 3 times, and i'm a pretty small girl so I can't see me having the strength to do major damage to metal.  i'm really stuck I don't know how to take my pole apart, and even if I do get it apart I won't be able to put it back together if the joints are broken

    help

It doesn't take much strength at all to strip the hex nut…it's from inserting the hex key wrong and if it isn't set correctly inside the nut, it rounds out the shape inside.

You are likely going to need new XJoints but it may be worth contacting XPOLE US directly to see if they do "repairs" and if so, is it worth it or just buy a new joint.

To get the joints out it's going to take some work. There is an instruction sheet (I can email you it if you like) which describes how to use a broomstick to UNjam the joint by slamming the broomstick up inside one end of the extension to force it out.

After about an hour of fiddling with the pole i finally got it unstuck, I realized part way through that the screw was a little bit rotated in the pole, and that was stripping out the hex (amazing what a flashlight can spot)  anyways I might have to buy a new x joint if x pole can't repair mine.  their only about $15 so not too big of a deal

    thanks
