I don't know what CAR means? Is there a FAQ for Pole Dance moves here or a website link?

Ohh yes I agree, that would be so handy… to have like a glossary/dictionary of pole dance tricks. I think there are a few on the net, but not sure if the pole names used are universal… ?

I don't think they have abbreviations but they may have the other names. CAR = Cross Ankle Release. CKR = Cross Knee Release

Hi, I found a Pole Fitness Association visual dictionary on the web.  Sorry I don't have the url, but a quick google should find it.

iPhone and I believe Android Market carries it as well, has an app named PocketPole.  I find it useful if I have a hard time executing a move.  PocketPole has videos but not a huge library of moves.

Wikipole is my preference of the two b/c I can always find a new move to work on when I'm ready.  ðŸ™‚

This isn't complete, but it has some good pics for the pole moves section:

Another really great site is the pole dance community – I believe the address is http://www.poledancecommunity.co.uk Click under syllabus and they have videos of moves.  Also check them out on youtube http://www.youtube.com/poledancecommunity.

I have a copy that I downloaded when it was free for all of us of the Pole Fitness Association syllabus you can download it here http://www.learn-pole-dancing.com/names-of-pole-dance-tricks.html

Also, you can use the Pole DAnce Community syllabus for free as mentioned by Charley. http://www.poledancecommunity.com/

The Pole DAnce Dictionary is a pretty good free resource as well. I have a link to it here on my page http://www.learn-pole-dancing.com/pole-dance-freebies.html

Hope they come out with one standard book we can all use.
