Anyone out there from Boston or the surrounding area? I see some old threads, but nothing from 2011.

I’ve only been on the site a few months, but I never see any threads from neither Boston, Massachussets, nor New England! You guys have to be out there.

Can someone recommend a studio? There’s one in Boston and a few in the surrounding area, but there are probably more. I’d love to hear suggestions and of course would love to know there are Veena polers in the area!

You can use the search on your friends page to find some friends in Boston, there are quite a few.

I'm in Boston!!  I used to teach at Gypsy Rose as "Sasha" … now I just study at Boston Pole Fitness and might teach there starting in the summer.  I recommend their "Polegression" classes (like an open pole, they work on whatever you want to).  Say hi to me if you go there … I'm, well, the little blond one 😀

I won't be at the pole showcase on Saturday.  I went last year and … well, it was cute, but it's a student recital.  And I've already seen the lovely ms. raquellestarr dance 🙂  But I will be at Marlo's workshops on Sunday at SuperShag.  If you live in Boston, you should call and see if they still have space.

Providence is only 1 hr from me … we should totally do it!

Hi there! Yeah, I've heard good things about Boston Pole Fitness…I'd love to start taking "real life" classes to mix things up (and progress).

When I make it in, I'll be sure to look for a little blonde one – hopefully there won't be more than one!

I've driven down Moody Street so many times and somehow missed SuperShag…so lame. Hopefully I'll check that out soon, too. Thanks for getting back to me, you guys!

Lilblonde, thanks for your help in class the oher day 😉 i second the recommendation for boston pole fitness! They are amazing. I take classes there and at supershag…they have two locations- Waltham and Charlestown- the pole classes are at the Charlestown studio. Supershag and Boston Pole are two different animals. I enjoy what I learn from both. Supershag is more of a class ( similar levels and paced) atmosphere whereas Boston Pole Fitness is focused on not only moves but techniques and muscle conditioning.

    you're very welcome!

I always forget about Supershag.  They also have a beautiful studio.  I wish I had a car so I could check them out more often, it's just impossible for me to get down there!

While we're pimping out our favorite Boston places, there is also Simply Circus in Newton (Chinese pole, silks, lyra and flexibility training).  It's also hard for me to get to, but it's a nice complement to pole dance.  Steven, the owner, is a great guy and I have recommended several friends to him 🙂
