I know there are a few great threads on this subject but the lists of songs are endless.  I am going to dance for hubby tonight and need suggestions.  I prefer songs that allow for sultry dancing but that also have a spot here and there where the beat goes faster.  He likes hip hop mostly but I like rock as well so please suggest whatever YOU so that I can listen on youtube before buying on itunes.  Thanks ladies!  I'm sure you guys will have great suggestions : )

    BTW I'm so nervous!!!

I don't think I've ever saw this song mentioned here.  It's an older, techno style song, but with the girl moaning, it's pretty hawt.  Althought the back beat is a bit faster, the vocal overlay gives you the ability to play with it slowly.

New music is great, but if you're dancing for your hubby and you're already nervous, I'd really recommend picking a song you already know well. Personally I dance so much better if I know what's happening with the music – you instinctively think "that bit would go great with this spin" or "this simply demands a booty pop!" and you give yourself a bit of a flair with hair flicks and dramatic kicks to punctuate a song.

That said, if you really want something new, then go for it! I haven't got any unique suggestions that fit with what you want though, although if you like rock you can try 'Dragonfly' by Shaman's Harvest. It's got great changes in beat and tempo and I find it really fun to pole to.

Good luck! He'll love whatever you come up with.

If he likes hip hop, I do not care how overdone it is LL Cool J – Doin it is always a great choice.

Thanks ladies, I'm off to itunes now to sample the songs you guys have mentioned.

Amaranth – I have yet to put together a choreography to ANY song : p.  Its easier for me to improvise as I go.  I think its because I don't know any song really well since I listen and dance to so many different types of music.

I do love Down on me by jeremih but I'm trying to see what else i can find : )

My first slice of pole movement and choreography is flowing out using Henryk Gorecki's – Symphony No. 3: II. Lento E Largo – Tranquillissimo.  Just trying to link together the few pole movements I know with some shape, flow and sense of continuum.
