Hey there all you lovely Veeners!

I'm going to be arriving in Sydney tomorrow after a long trip in a campervan from south west WA over the top and down the east coast, and I can't wait to get to Sydney and get back into poling again!  I miss it so much I can't even describe it – it actually makes me cry sometimes!!

Unfortunately I can't start classes at a school until I have found a job and somewhere to live, as I'm going to be arriving with hardly any money.  So…I was wondering if any kind polers felt like taking on a new pole buddy??  I used to just jam for hours with my friends back in the UK and I miss them so much, I feel like I've met some of the nicest people I know through poling and I'd really love to meet some like minded people while I'm in Sydney too.  I plan to stay for a few months if my husband and I can both find suitable work (and we're both willing to do pretty much anything, so hopefully that shouldn't be too hard!)

If anyone would like to get together, or knows of any jams happening – or even if anyone can recommend a good school for the future when I do have money – I really can't wait to hear back from you!

    Much love

    Caitlin

Hey Caitlin, I used to live in sydney but not anymore, so we cant pole jam together sorry, but I can recommend a great pole school for when youve got the mula. Bobbi's Pole Studio in the city of Sydeny is AMAZING. Teachers are vibrant and so much fun, the 8 week courses are instructive in both pole tricks and dance moves, they hold regular amateur and show nights, and they've just moved to a brand spanking new studio on Elizabeth st in the CBD, so its all very glam. The prices for an 8 week course are average – $230 I think. So check out their website and ring them up – best to book into classes a few weeks in advance as the good time slots fill up really quick. Have fun in Sydney! Hope u find some poling buddies soon! (oh and the best way to meet them is via classes… thats how i made all my poling friends).

I agree about Bobbi's, I went there for a year and only ever did 2 courses but I was there about 3 or 4 times a week doing their practice times – it's the BEST! The courses are the best, the teachers are best in the world but if you can't afford the classes practice time is as good if you just wanna do your own thing. It used to be $10 or so for 2 hrs with no instructor but I think it's been extended now, think it's from 2pm – 5pm. I met all my pole friends there, there's a guy called Andre that's always there and he's the nicest guy everrrrr and really really good 😛 so jealous of you lol

Thanks for the advice guys!  I actually went to Bobbi's for a term when I was in Perth and was taught by the amazing Allegra.  I found the classes a bit strange after having been self taught for so long, but they definitely put me through my paces!  And I did meet a lovely friend there too 🙂

Elizabeth Street is SO close to where I live too!  This definitely might be the way to go…

Have you guys, or anyone else, tried any other schools in Sydney?  Just wondering where else people would recommend.  I'd LOVE to be taught by Jamilla!!  But she only teaches the really advanced classes, so it'll take me a while to get to that level!
