I leave mine up. Rule is that no rings or metal bits are used with the pole (to the best of my ability, I keep that rule going…some people forget, or cannot take their rings off, and such), and I clean it with windex. I've heard Windex leaves residue, so water is cool, too, and just rubbing it down dry works.

I've got a stainless steel (I think!) Lil' Minx pole, so there are no spinning bits or whatever.

x poles should be taken down and cleaned and your ceiling should be allowed to resettle. It should most likely be done with a minx too, but I can't get mine down for love or money.

In the instruction manual that came with my chrome xpole it says that you should never use water to clean the pole. Don't know why though. I have only had my pole for 2 days and havent gotten the chace to really use it but am going to in about half an hour. 😛

I stil have to wash it better before using it and I am going to start using this ajax glass cleaner since glass cleaners were reccommended for cleaning the pole. (we don't have windex in iceland)

I wipe mine down with rubbing alcohol every now and then, not sure how much difference it makes!

I am having trouble with spin mode at the mo, it spins a bit then something seems to be rubbing inside the bearing bit and it slows down real fast. Going to get a spirirt level on it and see if that is the problem (its a stage)

Might try wd40 with it too, not sure how much that will help

I haven't taken my pole down since I put it up. *bad example* This year I started cleaning it with vinegar. Before that, it was always isopropyl alcohol.

I clean my pole with alcool or vinegar and use gentle nail remover when i do the big clean up it strip it from build up.And put it down and separate pieces every 3 months, I have wait for more than 6 months last time and had some rought time trying to separate one part.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif You don't clean the tread or add anything on in just make sure you touch those part as less as possible. Than put it up and enjoy it.

For the not so smooth on spinny your pole might me overtight…or just like mine, i think something wrong i can untight it intil it fall still do the samehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
