I hate that my toes hang out of my heels!
Posted by vamp79 on April 20, 2011 at 8:11 amI already bought a smaller size of pleasers and still have the same problem :(. Can anyone recommend a brand that doesn’t have this problem? I won’t be buying any time soon but would love to shop around already. I destroy my shoes really fast…

I have the same problemhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif… and I hate it. I try to buy my shoes with the small opening in the front not the wide one and it seems to work better than using the wide open heels. Good Luck sweet <3

Ugh….I hate that. .."Stripper Toe" my husband calls it. I find it worse in my Pleasers…I have some Ellie's that I sized down to a size 6 (I am a true 7) and it happens less with them. They have a softer pigskin insole so I don't know if that is why…either way, I hate it..sorry I was no help

I started the exact same thread about a month ago. I think the only way to get around this is to cut off your toes! The only girls I have seen that don't have this problem are those with short stubby toes. Anyone who has longer toes is going to have this problem.
And seriously, look at competition photos where the girls are standing (not performing) and see how many of them have it!!

BTW, someone had sugegsted those little gel pads but those just stretch out the shoe even more for me.

Ugh I don’t understand why they can’t make them with a smaller opening. It looks hideous.. I thought that going down a size would work but no luck. Maybe I will try ellies next time. I had a pair that were too big so I will get a 6 and see will see. Thanks for the comments, glad I’m not alone. I was starting to think I had freakishly long toes lol

i only get it in ellies, not in pleasers… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif
try em on and see!

It depends on the style too. The clear ones I just bought have a larger opening so it happens a bit more, as well as the pink ones that I have that are criss crossed across the front. The silver ones I just got I don't have as much of an issue but they totall pinch my toes (which I am hoping will lessen once I start wearing them).

Oh I hate this problem. I've sold off brand new shoes for this very reason. My toes look like bird claws that clutch onto the front end of the shoe. (nice visual, huh?). My most recent solution? I go barefoot! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Finally, a reason to rejoice for my stubby toes and wide feet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Even ordering up a size from what I normally wear, my feet just barely fit into those narrow openings, so there is no way they are getting any futher down (or even coming close to hanging over the edge).
One drawback is that I really wanted clear heels with the clear straps, but with a see-through window to what my foot looks like while being stuffed in a shoe, I'm guessing that might not be a good visual https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

Momma…I JUST bought my first pair of clear shoes and have stayed away from them for teh exact reason…I HATE the way my feet look in them. I mainly bought them to wear with socks….Rue 21 has had some AWESOME knee hi's that are fun with shoes.

I haven't tried any socks or leg warmers yet. I'm so afraid it will mess with the way I'm used to gripping and I'll fall. After that inverted leg hang wipe-out, fear is present. Once I get some more confidence, I'll have to try rocking some cute knee highs.

hey Vamp79 and everyone, I have Ellie's, and there is that problem a little, but I found that you can buy these little pads that go under the ball of the foot (not really gel pads, they are thinner), just look in your local drugstore or walmart, usually there is a section for these type of things. I found they really help keep my feet from sliding forward and also feel comfy 🙂

unfortunately I don't feel too secure with leg warmers on either unless I'm just dancing around without doing inverts : (. I will try the foot pads though, no harm in trying that.
I've worn my new shoes a few times and I must say that at least they feel better in the smaller size. I'm happy with any improvement over the old ones : )

I have not found a manufacturer that prevents the 'claw' of toes. I have found it was best to just let my feet settle in the shoes and let my toes fall where they may. Acceptance!
If it drives you nuts you can get thin short anklet socks at places like Target and they are inexpensive. They do not interfere with ankle or leg grip and are so darn cute. This does nothing to stop the forward slide but you do not see toes, you see sock fabric.
I have a variety of anklet socks I wear and also get my toes painted in bright glittery colors. I figure if I am flashing my toes… I'm doing it loud and proud!

Lol I guess keeping my feet nicely done at all times would make it more bearable.
