I know this is a topic you see a lot, and this might end up being long, but I've read literally everything my eyes fall upon about it. Ok… right now, I have a 50mm X-Sport. I love it, but I want an X-Pert now and my current pole is going to a friend. I have normal to clammy/sweaty hands and my chrome has been good to me. I do have my bad days where I just slip and fall off. I'm planning on getting a 45mm so I know that will work wonders, me having small hands. I'm not quite sure yet if my sweaty hands are me just being me, or nervousness from new moves, spins, etc. I do notice my hands get clammy sometimes (while just goin about my business) but nothing TOO bad.

I was curious… if it is me, would the TG be better on my hands? Sometimes my chrome can get to sticky, it feels like my leg skin is ripping off of me o_o So, the TG frightens me in that way! I don't believe I have a problem with gripping, but.. I dunno, the TG might just annhiliate me 😛 The city I live in has a perfect "All four seasons" so I'm taking weather into this too. I asked X-Pole and the only answer I got was pretty much "You can't miss!" but.. I wanted to ask my fellow Veeners what they think :] Thanks<3

If you are ripping on chrome I would be concerned about the titanium.

I haven't necessarily ripped on my chrome, but the times where its at its stickiest.. a pole sit can be too much from the pulling :[ Maybe that is a sign though… lol >.<

I have been on most surfaces. My powder coated in the summer is HORRIBLE.  I personally don't see a huge difference between titanium and chrome…well maybe a little difference.  The Ti is definitely grippier but if you have sweaty hands nothing is going to be the magic pole.  I have slipped off my powder and I have lost grip on a brass pole, too.

I have a titanium gold 50mm xpert.  For now I love it, however when I first got it my body got tore up.  I went from a stainless steel to titan god so it was a big difference in grip.  I'm used to titan gold now; however, I do lose being able to practice spins much due to the grippiness.  Also when I want to slide off slowly it's not as smooth due to grip.  My left hand does sweat alot and I still need to use grip aid on it.  For my level and what I'm wanting to learn, I love it.

I think some of the more experienced polers can use titan gold for spins and tricks, I'm just not there.  Depending on the weather determines when I can spin practice.

I also hear that once chrome is warmed up it's got good grip.  This decision was so hard for me when I was going to replace the stainless steel, but for now I love it for what I'm learning.  We are all different, so don't know if this any help to you at all.  You are getting a 45?  Now that I wonder if would be better for me 🙂

Yeah, the 50 is fine… but I know I would be sooo much stronger on a 45! I think I may stick with chrome then when I become more advanced, I will go for a TG :] Thanks for your response, it's nice to hear your examples so that really helps with my decision<3
