NYC Area Veeners- Pole Rip Offs in the Village
Hello Fellow Veeners in the NY Area. If you are familiar with the popular area in New York City known as "The Village" Near West 4th Street, i'm sure you are somewhat familiar with the erotic boutiques such as Tic Tac Toe and the Pink Pussycat Boutique on 6th Avenue. So I went into both of these stores today because I heard that they sold dance poles. Tic Tac Toe only sells the Carmen Electra poles, the Hot Pink Dance Pole, and some pole called the Spinning Pole which they wanted for $250. So of course I asked about the X-Pole which someone told me on the phone their store sold but unfortunately they lied about that. The man in the store tells me that all of those poles can carry up to 200-250 lbs which I know is a lie and I've heard all of the horrible stories about the Carmen Electra Poles so I wasn't even considering those.
I told him thanks but no thanks I need a pole that is guaranteed to carry at least 250 lbs so he refers me to the Pink Pussycat Boutique next door which he says sells "heavier duty poles that will cost at least $300 more." I just knew this simply couldn't be true. I go into the store and they have a titanium gold x-pole as well as a chrome x-pole out on display only to tell me the chrome which spins and does not seem to have the large dome on top costs $600 and the titanium gold static x-pole costs $650. Where in the heck do they get these prices when x-pole x-pert chrome poles which from my understanding spin and have static mode are being sold directly from the xpoleus site at $329.99 plus $40 shipping?
Can you say major rip off? Sadly I walked out of the store and so did my hopes of being able to purchase a pole next week without waiting the dreaded period of shipping! *Sigh* What a disappointment. Just thought I would let my fellow Veeners know about this terrible misfortune! Unbelievable!

If you order from Xpole today you will probably have it by next week! They are VERY QUICK on shipping.

X pole will have thier order of poles in next week on thursday so of you order next week, you should have tour pole within 10 days. I would never pay more than the website price. Definitely a rip off

Oh my the Pink Pussycat Boutique. First time I visited that place was in the 1970's. What a hoot it was.
