    Hey ladies and gents!

So, as of recently my pole studio has shut down due to some money issues. I was dancing for two years and feel like i gained a ton of muscle but also feel like I haven't pushed myself hard enough to learn things like the straight edge V (both elbow grip and forearm) or my jack knife or hand spring mount. I am afraid to attempt it without someone spotting me just because I have fallen pretty hard before. (I ended up cracking the bones in the top of my foot trying to catch myself..) I know the smart thing to do would be have someone spotting me but no one is willing or if they are my pole time doesn't work with their schedule either. also the place where my pole is set up the floor is cement which makes me even more nervous. So what im asking is do you guys have any advice on how to get over my fears?

Wow that's a tough one! I guess my advice would be to practice moves that you feel safe with for now to make sure you don't lose any of your fitness, then look at getting some crash mats? I don't use them generally but they had them at one of the studios I was teaching at and it made me a feel a lot safer to use it when I was still unsure of superman.

    Hope that helps!
