I pole every other day. I shave every other day. I was wondering if it matters (for grip) to shave on pole day or shave on the off day. What is best?

I haven't noticed a difference, and I tend to grow hair super fast!

What would effect it is if you put lotion on after you shave; lotion can make you very slippery, and it can be quite dangerous when you pole!

I can't pole the day after I shave my thighs…too sensitive…ouchie, ouchie, ouchie.  Don't notice any difference in grip though.  🙂  Actually, my legs look funny today because I shaved from the knee down and the lady bit area, but not the thighs in between, lol.  Why??? Because I plan on poling tomorrow.  🙂

I wax my legs, so I get fine hair in between waxing, and I find that when I'm due for a wax, my grip gets worse.  So unless sensitivity is a problem for you, I'd tend to lean towards shaving before poling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I epilate now, but before when I used to shave I found it made my legs really dry straight afterwards, and as you probably know dry skin is so much harder to grip with 🙁 But I think it probably just depends on your own skin type, and as Runemist said its more about if you use lotion or not afterwards

I can shave on pole days and I use Pole Physics (use to use night time baby lotion) up to an hour before poling without problems.

Some of it depends on your skin type but also consider what shave cream you use. I have found that I can only shave with certain gels or I have grip problems.

I think I might try the Pole Physics lotion.  I think my skin might be dry on shave days because I am not using lotion any more.  Thanks!

We go back and forth with students…either they are greasy because they won't pay attention to what we tell them or they take it to the other extreme and let their skin dry out too much so that they can't grip. Slightly moist, healthy skin grips far better.
