I vaguely remember seeing this somewhere but cannot remember where.  Basically it is a plow from the floor next to the pole then you grab the pole with your outside leg, hook it and then get up from the floor in sort of a climb over.  I have been trying it this evening but I am missing something…

I noticed you mentioned outside leg.  But, there's a move Alethea did at 2:54, which sounds like what you described (but she's using inside leg)?

That was not it but that is an idea.

What do you mean by "plow from the floor?" I don't understand what your describing.

    This is a plow:

After doing a little more research it is the outside leg that hooks and you need to go into a shoulder stand prior to hooking the legs.  I was trying to hook the outside leg or both legs on the pole and pulling myslef up but I was not getting enough clearance to get my bottom leg straight.

This is the thread where it was discussed.  I gues both Karol and Alethea have done this move.

I'll check it out, but if you would have thought of it sooner we could have had karol show it to us 😉

I haven't seen it done but I could imagine that you would hook the outside ankle and then go into a dangerous brian or ankle hang then pull yourself up?  is there any swinging or spinning involved?

I thought I knew what you meant but now maybe, as I read your desription, it is something different.  If you get through the craziness of my video (I was showing my 'sexy' to someone–lol) it is around 1:40ish marker.

Hi chemgoddess1:  Alethea Austin has a move in this video at 3:20 that sounds like what you are describing.

I've also done a handstand next to the pole with one arm on the pole and the other on the floor, then hook the outside knee, going into a gemini.  But with that one I start from standing, bent over with my arms in place, then kick up into the handstand.  Someone with better acro skills could probably do the same move from a shoulderstand… I think?

Jenn, what you did is exactly it.  For somereason I was trying to hook the outside leg and get myself up and it was not working out so good.

It is a cool move (I don't know if you meant me Jenn or JennFromFerndale–that's her name in my mind!)  Anyway…beautiful floor-to-pole move….I love it

It was Jenn Pole Lush.  Actually the move that Alethea does in the vid that Bendie posted is the one I am incorporating into my routine.  It is an outside leg hook into a sort of a half side spin.  It will right me, face me in the direction of the audience and then while on my side I can pull my leg up toward my face and place it on the ground next to the other leg.  I am just trying to find other ways to get up off the ground besides the typical stand.

Chem, sounds awesome…Please post when you get it all configured.  I'm always looking for cool ways from floor -to -pole and the like
