    Hello All,

Just wanted to share something I did to protect my floors based on posts and ideas found here in the forum.

I had a floating wood floor installed in a room I converted to a dance space. Much to my extreme disappointment I selected  wood that is very 'soft' and that scratches easily. It has tons of scratches and dings now. There is no way it would support any type of heel. I am convinced if I look at it funny it scratches. I do not have the money to replace it so I had to find a way I could keep from damaging it further but still enjoy my pole.

I went to Home Depot and found a remnant of sheet vinyl flooring that was $68.00. Since it was a remnant piece it was cheaper than if I had it cut off the big spool. There was a real nice employee there that cut the remnant so it would fit in my car. The approximate dimension of it is 9 feet by 9 feet.

Thank you all for sharing your ideas… I can happily pole now. Drag my feet, do floor work and not worry about damage to the floor.

    Happy Poling!!!

Great idea! I have carpet, but I'm planning on moving sometime in the next year or two, so if I wind up with easily damaged hardwood floors, I will definitely have to try this. Thanks for posting; I bet someone will find it helpful.
