I think it's called an indian sit or something – I've seen it before – totally forgot about this move.

I think it would be easiest to get into from an inverted hip hold because both legs would be straight and you could pull them into this lotus shaped position she's in.  I'll give it a go later.

another great suggestion, thanks a lot charley.

now that i know – or have an idea, at least – of how to get into it, i'm wondering how to get out of it in an elegant way. any suggestions on that? ^^

Well…sadly I have to go to work in a few minutes so I can't run upstairs and try it but in my estimation your legs are in a lotus position from yoga – if you aren't strong enough or flexible enough you'd have to your hands to get in and out of the position…I would think you could get out of it gracefully by either going into jade because you have to pull your leg to get into jade anyway so that would look fairly seamless or your could undo your self back into  hip hold or a variation of hip hold into a leg hang – you could possible go right into a scorpio out of it too.

Now – as soon as I saw I wondered how it would look or if it's possible and it should be – to do a superman out of it.  Man!  stupid work!  i will work on this as soon as I get home!

maybe to get out of it (as long as the leg grip is secure) you could just hold on with the legs as they are, let go with the hands, and move your body around so the pole is in front of you rather than to the side and behind – then you could grab the pole with your hands around your waist, straighten your legs to wrap around the pole in an inverted crucifix, and slide straight down? that's the simplest method I can think of, although I'm sure you could come up with something prettier once you're in a basic inverted position…
