fiancee is using my pole!
Posted by Dancing Paws on June 5, 2011 at 6:53 pmI just find this funny. My fiancee is too busy to work out because of school. He was complaining about how weak his shoulders have gotten. I showed him some of the exercises on here and I keep seeing him going to my pole and doing them. 😀

Very cool! There is a guy on youtube….has about 170 videos of him learning the varioius pole moves. He is probably in his 60's! But it is for anyone. I let my 12 year old son go on mine whenever he wants.

Lyme, you must be talking about Joel (Poledancefan). He is the greatest! He stops in every once in a while but has been absent from the forums for a bit.
I have had my hubs doing some things but he has issues with grip. I am also taking classes with Mattcrobat who mixes break dancing with his acro skills.

My boyfriend uses my pole at home way more than I do!! I tend to only use it when I'm choreographing or I can't be bothered walking across town to the dance studio whereas he uses it as part of his several-times-a-week strength routine that he does at home, along with some free weights. He does pole classes too and will practice stuff sometimes on top of the strengthening:)

@Lyme, If you are talking about Joel, (poledancefan), he is actually 50… LOL, he is such an awesome guy, never met him, but he inspired me to pole from day one! He used to post his progress on YouTube every few days or so, very persistant and determined! And he even made his own pole from a metal conduit from Home Depot, what a handy man!

I am refering to him! I’ve never been good w ages. Now that u mention it, I remember seeing his video where he went to home depot to buy the stuff! I see he is working at a studio now. I sure wish there was a studio in West Michigan. Would love to meet (in person) some other polers!
