Update on hubby
Hi All,
Here is an update on hubby: He had the liver biopsy and his doctors have decided it isn't liver cancer (that was my biggest fear), it is not an autoimmune disease, or several other things. However, they still don't know what it is. The doctors are now in contact with the Mayo Clinic. His doctors here even sent a sample of his liver to the Mayo Clinic to see what they could come up with. Hopefully they will be able to help him.
We still aren't sure how badly damaged his liver is. We should find that out probaby on Friday. I'm terrified that his liver is so damaged he will have to have a liver transplant. Both of our sons have already spoken up and offered parts of their livers, if they are a match. (Boy, that's all I need is to worry about – hubby AND a son!)
But good news: Today was the first day in 2 weeks that his liver enzyme numbers did NOT go up – YEAH!!!! They didn't go down, but at this point, we'll take the littlest victory.
On a better note, since I can't sleep, I have been poling HARD every night after I get home from the hospital and get my little granddaughter to bed. I know since I'm a newbie, (I've had my pole for 28 days) I shouldn't do it every day but for my mental health, I have to. I have now accomplished the 'pole sit', the 'crucifix' and the 'pole climb'!!! I know it isn't much compared to many of you, but I'm quite pleased with myself.
Thanks again for the prayers and well wishes. Hopefully I'll have some good news to report soon.
