    Hey guys. So, I can do a CAR no problem, but now that I am moving on the a CNR, hahahah. Tips ladies? I feel like I have my leg in all the right places. My knee pit on the pole, pole between my legs, legs sqeeeeeeeezing. Maybe it's all in my head and I am a chicken.

    I also have a problem with CNR, I did it before few times, felt more or less comfortable and then suddenly stopped, without any reason I just cant do it now. Feels like slipping in my bend knee, like my leg is not strong enough anymore, really strange for me.  I think unfortunately I am a chicken. 🙁

    That's what happened with my shoulder mount. I had it one day, then *poof* gone.

    What is CNR?  Is that the same as a CKR?

    It is usually referred to as CKR.

    i had no idea CAR stood for cross ankle release. i thought it was something else!  i rarely do the CKR, I should practice it.

    I find that the CKR is a bit more stable than the CAR if you want to quickly fall back into the move, for example from a plank or a pole sit.  However, the CKR can for some people feel less comfortable than the CAR.  I started with the CAR, hated the CKR because it hurt.  Now I've switched over to the CKR for its stability!

    I'm actually not sure why I put CNR. My brain has been going all wonky on me…I totally meant CKR. Maybe I had a typo and it didn't occur to me. Anyways, CKR is my prob.

    When I do the CKR, I don't have the pole right in my knee pit–that would throw my balance off.  Instead, for me the pole seems to rest on that crease of skin on the side of your leg where the knee bends (I call it my "knee cleavage"), maybe even a little bit onto the calf.

    I totally second akkis! The way I do it is to get into a regular cross-legged pole sit, hold onto the pole with my hands as well and then just kind of tilt my pelvis until my "knee clevage" is against the pole. Then it's snug and secure and I can lean back.

    Oh yeah, I do straigten my bottom leg as well, forgot to mention. But now I want to try a CKR with two bent legs. Does that work?

    It does work with a bent leg.  You can even grab it with the opposite hand when you are fully in the move.  Sometimes, I grab each foot with the opposite hand too.

    Cool! I'm trying to visualise, and I think that's exactly the same as a closed rainbow like in my avatar. But I think I'll have to actually do it to know for sure.
