umm this may not help, but i literally have a post ready to go live tomorrow morning at 8am about exactly how i got over my spin pole nauseau (and it was BAAAAAAAAAD… i can't even sit in the backseat of a car for too long without getting carsick). like you, i was doing static only for a few years before i ventured to spin.

i'm sure other ladies in the forum will have great tips! if you're curious enough to check tomorrow, my blog is here: http://aerialamy.com/blog/ =)

    Hi Kat,

can you write the name of the dvd that is taught on spin? Is it only for beginners or are there also tricks for advanced? Thanks.

Love your blog Amy (ur so funny) ~ Thanks for sharing! I can spin on my lyra with very little nausea, but the pole is different… Maybe because I'm so busy hanging on to my hoop for such dear life https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif that I don't notice the spinning as much!

Thanks Flexx! I think it's a little differnet on lyra because you're generally spinning aligned with the axis of rotation (centered on the anchor point) instead of beside it, like you are on the pole– i find that it's a very different kind of spin on lyra…. and one that i have to get used to all over again. UGH!

I think you're exactly right amy!  I always wondered why the two would be so different ~ Now I get it!

    hi pavla,

the dvd is called "the essential pole collection"  volume one by princess me me's pole school.  i got my copy from the bad kitty website.  i think its beginner/intermediate.  i say that because, i think im still a newbie and have attempted 80% of the moves.
