Hey, is it normal for the foot I use for the single foot wrap to hurt when I stand on it? I am just learning the move. It is a sort of sore hurt, not a shooting pain hurt, and I think it is a deep originating pain. It is on the outside arch of my foot and in the center of the foot. It hurts to walk on it or put pressure on it. I am not sure if I should go see a doctor, or if the is the normal corse of things. My fiancee is taking the class with me and his foot is fine.

Hey – I teach silks, but when I was learning I had the same problem. Bear in mind that this is not medical advice and you should see a doctor if you are worried.

BUT normally it is beacuse your foot is not used to holding your weight in that way. Some strengthing exercises are to roll your instep on a tennis ball or hardish ball while sitting on a chair (if that makes sense). This massages the area which helps with the pain and strengthens it. After a couple of months is disapears.

Okay thanks. I noticed it felt better after walking on it for a while, though it hurt like  mother initially and after not walking on it for a while. It feels much better today, although still sore. My fingers ache like a mother too cuz I am death gripping. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
