I never thought I'd say this but my new pole might have too much grip.  I just bought an xpole with the titanium gold finish.  I'd been lusting after the finish after hearing way too many horror stories about slippery stainless steel and chrome poles and problems breaking them in.  I didn't expect to spin much with this pole, but even the tricks and holds are painful.  I feel like my skin is glued to the pole and about to rip off when I slide even just the slightest bit.  Is this normal?  Could the weather be a factor?

Unforetunately everyone's body chemistry is different and therefore reacts differently to different finishes.  There is just no way to know how your body will react to a specific finish until you try it.  However, the weather is definitely also a factor and you may find it reacts differently on other days.  The other good news is that just like the pole burn you experienced when you first learned to pole, this too will go away as your body gets used to it.  Good luck! 🙂
