I seem to be having alot of falls lately https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I fell again today, off my new brass xpert. It is VERY slippery. I'm kind of annoyed. I was only doing a gemini!!! WTF!! I had a play on it the other day too and could not do any inverts on it because i just slid right off!

Today I fell from about 1.5m off the ground – flat onto my back inbetween my shoulder blades at full force. I am in quite a bit of pain tonight. I really think I need to see a chiropractor.

My question being… How many times do you honestly fall off your pole?? LOL! Please reassure me that I'm not the only one that this happens too on a regular basis!

I have been giving my new brass pole the filthiest looks everytime i walk past it. I swear it hates me.

oh no!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif i hope your ok!

did the hairdryer trick not work?

how frustrating and annoying!

and no, you are definately not alone- as you know i feel off badly two weeks ago and just about broke my finger lol.

back on the pole 2 nights ago and got my superman (YAY) but i did have a mini fall before i got it. nothing major.

your not alone! it happens sometimes.

maybe you could put the heating on after all? and block off the vents in the kids rooms?

my brass needs to be REALLY warmed up to be sticky- otherwise i slip right off.

You didnt happen to wash yours with window cleaner or anything did you? i did that and it made my pole sooooo slippery argh.

hope your ok tomorrow https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Haven't had a major fall yet, but bound to some day soon. I thought brass was supposed to be the grippiest pole? Am I wrong??

@ Lyme – yes it is but it seems to take a lot longer to heat up than other metals. *sigh* no pole is perfect.

actually brass heats up the fastest. Stainless steel the slowest.

@Lyme Xpole brass poles are only a spray on coating or ‘finish’. The pole is only as grippy as the quality of brass coating of the particular batch. I think that is why it might be a bit slippery.
I am so focused now on buying a solid brass pole from pussycat as they will not wear off etc over time 🙂
Ps. Lucky you for not having any serious falls! I’m probably just clumsy lol 🙂

OH NOOOO!! I hope you're ok!!!

I haven't had any major falls, *touch wood* but once I went to do a spin and the whole pole came down! that was pretty scary.. after that I always test the pole before having a session.

I don’t think you’re clumsy either.. maybe you fall more often than others because your more gutsy and attempt anything? Hahaha, you just go for moves that I freak out at even attempting.. *cough shoulder mount cough* I wish I had your confidence 🙂 🙂

Haha thanks angel 🙂 maybe that’s what it is…pure stupidity LOL or um I mean “courage” hahaha!
God that would be so scary to have the whole pole come down! I’ve had mine slip but it didn’t fall – glad you didn’t get hurt x 🙂

So sorry to hear about your fall https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif !! I fell on my back from a gemini once, but luckily did not get hurt. arnica is good for bruising and soreness – traumeel gel seems to really work. I hope you feel much better soon! the other thing that could help is to use some itac or other grip aid on the parts of your body that contact the pole, like your sides and back of the knees. <3

Thanks tarah 🙂 the grip aid on legs & hips is a good idea 🙂
My ‘no fear’ approach to pole has landed me with a few injuries. It’s all good though, nothing too serious mainly a bruised ego lol 😉

I agree w Tarah- Try some grip aide! Ive never fallen frommy pole yet (*knocks on wood) But. my instructor WONT let us try new tricks, etc without grip aide. She calls it our false sense security until we really master the move w memory, mucle etc… becaue it really helps you stick!
