Holy Eff Charley!  I would call that a Dangerous Brass Monkey, and I would try it from brass monkey.  GL hon be safe 🙂

LOL Ember- that was my reaction too – I can do it from iguana mount no problem and remove my hands  – I never thought of working on it from brass monkey – I initially tried out of a side climb…honestly it wasn't bad I was just really, really scared – my spotter only got me to go fully back once…but out of the iguana it was easy peasy. Sadly mine doesn't look like this.

I'll upload a quick vid of this mystery move and you can see what I mean.

Here's my attempt – it sucks and it's not really very close so any ideas?

Dude, you are almost there!  Honestly, I would try it from a brass monkey, that way your legs are already comfortable and secure, then you can bring your body around and arch.

You're so right Ember!!!!!  I feel silly that I never thought to try it like that.  this is has to be the  first pose in a long time I have just fallen in love with.

Will try from Bm tomorrow 😀  Thanks for the great advice!

I'm thinking the brass monkey won't work as an entry pose for this.

In the brass monkey the pole is hooked on the medial aspect of the knee – in this pose it's the lateral aspect of the knee.

I'm thinking hooking the bottom leg from a shoulder mount may be one way of getting into it.

Keep in mind she has both legs on the same side of the pole. It's almost a variation of the double knee hang Charley.

I have no idea how this move is called… I entry from a gemini, and exit from the iguana mount… the entry does not look very pretty but it woks for me… I can make a video if it helps. Stardust was the one who taught me the move, maybe she can explain it better also 🙂

Thank you Empy – I see what you're saying.  Legend – I'd love a video if you can make one.  I am SO in love with this pose.  Is Stardust on here?  I'd love her input too!

Emotioncatcher that's not quite the same pose…that has the legs on opposite sides of the pole.

Although I think in this variation the leg lines are prettier than in the original.

i didn´t notice the difference ^^ but stardust describes in a commet on her photo how to get into it from a sideclimb. i think this will work for both variations
