Hi everybody, my question today is:

how do you usually create your teaching program? do you divide students group into beginner/intermediate/advanced level or do you use a different categorization?

What's the division point between the levels you consider and what about learning time?

Is there a teaching program (beiside Veena's) we can inspire from?

My students start from the very beginning, so I'm starting to write down my teaching program from Level 1. I have learnt and I'm still progressing my self so I'm trying to find a way among the information cloud I'm in.

I will keep track of it on a register and make sure I will cover any aspect (pole to floor, floor to pole, transitions, floorwork as well as spins, inverts and trick when tha moment will be suitable). This will make it easier once I restart teaching with a different group of students.

Students keep asking me "how does it take to learn and progress"?

Thank you for all of your advice and experience.

Some people progress quick, others take longer. Each person is really different. I was inverting in a month and shoulder mounting by three months, and twisted grip handspring by 6 mo. I have seen others take two years poling and still can't shoulder mount or do tricks well once they invert. You have to build up everyones muscles and where they start will be diff. for everyone. Some classes could be beginner, intermediate, advanced and some you may want to play with. For example you could have an all level cardio pole class or a fun open pole(everyone just pole jams or dances on their own). Use your own imagination. Good luck!

    Hi Roami, thank you.

The thing is my students are all level 1 so the situation you are talking about will happen later on.

Now they are having the same warm up, the same pre-stretch, the same routine, the same cool down, and that'is.

But how do you usually design your lessons over time (weeks/months/years)?I just would like to know from you if you have a program (maybe a self-created program) that you follow and you stick to while teaching.
