  • Best pole antiperspirant for hands?

I'm wondering which product is best for sweaty hands? I really struggle to do routines/long combos because as soon as I do more than about 3 moves in a row my hands start to sweat up. I dont have a problem with grip as such – more something to stop my hands sweating in the first place…. any suggestions?

So far it seems that Dry Hands and Tite Grip are the leaders of the pole antiperspirant products – I've never tried Dry Hands but I have tried Tite Grip and found that although it stopped a bit of sweating, it really hindered my grip so I was better without it – I put the amount on my hands that it said but perhaps this was too much?

I only use grip aids (usually Mighty Grip) when I've learning a new move where I need hand grip as I find when they get on the pole, it coats it and really pulls the skin when I do any other moves that require calf/knee/torso grip. Any product recommendations that wont coat my pole, make it tacky but keep my hands sweat-free?

tite grip is an antipersperant– and dry skin is slippy skin, so you do need to use a grip aid on top of it if that's what you're after.

try using less product, but ahead of time. if that doesn't work, use a little bit 1 hr before and a little more 30 mins before.

mighty grip does leave a lot of residue on the pole, but all grip aids will when your hands sweat and the grip aid comes off.

there are no other products that work as well to stop sweat.

i'm a huge fan of tite grip, can you tell? =)

My hands naturally have no moisture whatsoever on them.  They just don't sweat, get clamy or get moist at all.  I struggle at the grocery store to get those plastic produce bags open so I can put veggies inside.  I end up having to touch anything wet that the little water sprinklers soak to get the bags open!  It's a totally different story when my hands touch the pole.  I find myself wiping the pole down quite often during one session.  I was at a studio playing around with hookedonpole and she had a bottle of Dry Hands with her.  She told me that she has tried everything but this one worked really well for her.  I know everyone is different.  I tried some of it and I was able to last the whole hour messin' around on the pole with her without having to reapply.  I definitely purchased my own bottle since and it keeps my hands dry haha.  I haven't tried any other grip aids but I can tell you that I'm really liking Dry Hands and I think I'm going to stick to it.  I find that the powder residue is easily wiped off the pole and I haven't had any complaints so far.  Try it!

Dry hands and Grrrip are about the same in sweat-stopping, and some people strongly prefer one to the other (dry hands has much more grip, I've found, and can be tough for use in spins).

    Thanks girls

I dont mind so much about a product leaving visable marks but will keep that in mind if I ever dance under a black light!

I do want to be able to spin as well so might try Tite Grip again first and if it doesn't work for me then dry hands it is! 🙂

I only tried tite grip, I really like it so far. But I can't spin anymore after applying it on my hands https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif I'm always using spinning mode for a routine with spins … which is okay, because I got a great grip with tite grip https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I'd love to try dry hands and grrrip one day.
