it's variations on the jenyne tumble =) make sure the pole is closer to your knees then your crotch so the knee pit catches you in a brass monkey when you come down.

It's the Veena Tumble! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif different than the Jenyne tumble, only the leg hold/start position is the same. The one in the video you posted of me, has an added shoulder mount flip to the beginning of it, so you will have to learn the Veena Tumble first in order to catch yourself!!! The body and arms are doing very differnt thing than for the Jenyne variation. I'm not going into brass monkey at all, your body and leg is across the pole so brass monkey wont be an option. I will make a slow motion vid of my tumlbe sometime. Here is an OLD video of my tumble https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/42f26c86-b88e-11df-856f-001b214581be.

maybe jenynes variation would be easier to start. i think it looks easier than veenas (but i´m not sure as i haven´t tried the veena tumble yet). jenyne starts in the same position as veena already mentioned and does a forearm grip to get down. you can watch it here: http://poledancedictionary.com/moves/383/slinky/

and when you managed this variaton you could start working on veena´s

It looks like Jenyne's tumble and Veena's tumble go sideways from sit to SM dismount. Karol's tumble is different. You pole sit, then lean forward all the way till your shoulder has contact, use double cup grip, then SM dismount.

Karol is doing the same thing I do (at least from what I can see) only she's not starting the move from an upright position. She is also doing it really slow.

Emotion, I don't know which would be easier, would depend on what your more comfortable with the brass monkey and forearm grip or the shoulder dismount. There is not Brass monkey in my move, only a leg lock/hold into a shoulder dismount.

On spin it looks the same, but on static it's different. Same tumble, different ways to fall, same end. I'll show you next time we see each other! 🙂 You fall to the side, Karol falls forward to the front.

No, I see what your saying now. I didn't understand what you meant by "forward" until you meantioned to the front!! I get it! lol  Here legs are pointing down mine are up in the lock https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Sorry, to clarify: I call anything that has that knee-hang catch (whether you go all the way into a brass monkey or not, or whether you go sideways or forward)  a variation on the jenyne tumble since that's the easiest reference point for me. doing it into a shoulder dismount is def something i saw veena do first  =)

Kitty, you have to do opposite holding leg to shoulder. So if your left leg is hanging and holding, your other leg should be locked behind it. Then you bring  your right shoulder down to "catch" you, but your legs really do the locking and holding.

Veena's "tumble" is completely different than the Karol tumble move. I have only seen one other person do the tumble Veena did and it was a guy(can't remember who)! Super cool move!

Kobajo, Looks like your doing Karols variation and coming more forward almost rolling into it, rather then tumbling/falling into it like I do. For my tumblethe feet/legs stay pointing up as the bum drops down for the initial hold before you tumble. Also I would try using the opposite shoulder. Its looking good!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Yeah, it feels more secure for my to roll forward and into the right shoulder.  I tried the opposite shoulder and it isn't as secure.
