  Taking down LM….how to get screw out of ceiling?

  We are to the point of needing to take the plastic button off the ceiling, but the screw just keeps spinning.  We don't have the little hanger on it, since that is for a plant, but we can't get the button off/ unscrewed.  Any suggestions?

  Is the screw just spinning inside the mount? Or is the allen wrench spinning when you try to unscrew it?  Is is mounted in a wood joist?
