A week or 2 ago, X-pole did not have Brass or 40mm (chrome only)–the pole buying page looks totally different–which is nice, but, I had to do a search to find 45 Titanium Gold, its not on the main US pole page…???  If I put 45mm TG X-pert in the shopping cart, it gives an estimate for US shipping so…?

I read the threads about Brass poles, someone had a problem with it being slippery 🙁  Others said they wouldn't want Brass as their only pole, because it is very sticky for spins when warm/dirty.  So I think I still want 45 TG…what do you think?

Also, Brass is pricier.  $360 TG vs $430 Brass for spinning X-pert. (!)

I have a 50mm chrome, but never got going on that one, plus I've been sick.  Excited for a 2nd try 🙂

Plus, I read months ago, someone's TG pole was slipperier then chrome at first, maybe had to be broken in?  Couldn't find it recently.

    Thanks 😉

The consensus about the  x pole brass seems to be that it is slipperier than other pole companies brass because it is a brushed brass. The same is true for their stainless steel. All other pole companies have polished brass and stainless, which gives extra grip to the pole, while the brushed finish makes it slicker.

I have a polished brass pole, and it is pretty darn dirty. It isn't terribly sticky. It will give you pole burn, but I don't think any more than a TG would. I don't know how sticky a x pole brass would be. Probably not too bad since it is slicker. I would imagine that the x pole brass and TG would either be similar in grip with the brass being slicker than polished brass. I know my TG had pretty good grip sometimes, but it still was slick to me.

If you want a brass, because of the GRIP, I think you should go with platinum stages, aradia poles, or pole danzer. With them, you can get a 1 piece pole that is polished brass and will be mega grippy. Now, if you just want something close to brass, then just save your money and get the TG.

As for the chrome versus TG issue, everyone is different so there is no telling how one will react to either of the metals. It's a toss up. I did have to condition my TG a little, but not a whole lot.
