Low Ceilings
Posted by Sammy Lynn on January 8, 2012 at 8:20 pmI finally have enough money to buy a pole! But I just measured my ceilings at 7 ft. 1 in. They are very low and the minimum I am seeing on most poles is 7 ft 4 in. Any advice on how to solve this delima?

yeppers!! lilmynx does custom size, just make sure you have a ceiling stud to put a screw into. i have low ceilings too, barely 7 ft. and i called LM and gave them the ceiling measurement and within a week, got my custom pink powdercoated pole and i love it!!!! lilmynx.com is the site and the price is very reasonable

LM is definatley a legit strong one piece pole if you are wondering, they are used in studios also. and they have rotator which is what i have for spin mode when u get more advanced. plus there r three colors to choose from or stainless steel. i wud go with powdercoat if you think you want a grippy pole.

or if there is a different kind of pole u really want, contact the company and see if they do custom size

lil mynx does do custom poles at no extra charge (customizing it to less than 8ft)

You can also use/order an X with different extensions. The standard A and B piece are about 40" but you can get extensions any where from 100mm (~4 inches) to 1000 mm (~40 inches).

You can do several things. What Rixi and Chem mentioned are definite possibilities. Platimun stages makes a 1 piece custom cut pole that spins.
You can also get a 1 or 2 piece pole from pole danzer that is custom cut to your ceiling height:
Action poles is another company that is an option. They only make stationary brass poles, but they are also custom cut to your ceiling height. They are a canadian company.

I have a 1 piece brass platinum stages pole and I really love it. I took the adjuster sleeve off and made it a top loading pole. 🙂 You can see pix of it on my profile.

Thanks everyone. I went with the Xpert with an extention since I move around a lot and did not want to invest in a custom fit pole that I could only use in one spot. Woohoo, I am sooo excited!
