Are you plugged into the internet or are you wireless? I am wireless and sometimes I need to plug in to get videos to go.

It usually takes several HOURS for me to upload a video…(not even a long one either.) Not sure why. My internet isn't the best, but it's not bad either. I can watch netflix uninterupted.

I hope Webmaster doesn't mind me sharing this – but a while ago I was getting an "IO Error" So I emailed him. This was his reply

What I've found causes that is security software. The fix is to:
    a) Turn off your security software while you upload
    b) Most softwares have an accepted sites list, youtube and other big sites are on it by default, if you add StudioVeena.Com to you you should be able to upload unimpeded.

I couldn't figure out how to turn it off or add SV an an accepted site, so I plugged my laptop into the internet (instead of it being used as wireless) and it worked no problem.

Do you have your own modem and router? You would plug into that.

Just got a new video camera, and spent over an hour editing. Now since it is a new software I can’t upload, the IO Error that polefitmom mentioned came up. I really am thinking I am not going to mess with all the editing, it takes way to long. Maybe go back to jus “freesyl’n it”! But still am going to have to figure how save video to my computer to at least view it…..this new camera doesn’t allow me. I hate technology!

A very common, mistake in uploading windows movie maker files is to upload what is called the project file.  The project file doesn't contain any actual video but instead contains all.  In order to get an uploadable file you have to export in either AVI or WMV and upload that file.
