so today i was out for a walk and when i came home, i came in the side door of our APT building, and was disgusted by the amount of trash littering the ground on the corner of the building, this is also the same corner i live on, though i did not make the mess, i decided that since the new superintendents had no intentions of cleaning it anytime soon, that i would take the time and make this part o the building clean and pleasant for those that are beside and above us! well half an hour latter and a trash bag and a 1/2 later, mind you we do not live in a trashy building, it is more middle class, just our new superintendents do not seem to care a whole lot, but that is another story!! i thought well that row of bushes by the street has a lot of bags and trash in it, and lots of critters play in there and they too need a clean place to live, so i will clean that too, well while cleaning this area, i found a pole, yes a random street pole that is 9 1/2 feet tall and 42mm in diameter just laying there, this could not be any better, i am looking to build my own stand alone pole, and knew that the pole would be hardest part to find, and luck have it, i find the one street pole that is perfect just laying in the bushes!! lol

well i picked it up and ran and now i am sharing with you all the payback for cleaning up the bushes for the little critters!! here is a link to a photo of it, i plan to wet sand it and paint it, any ideas on what kind of paint to use, and what color i should paint it?!?!?!   s s lol

    Omg! What luck!

I’ve no idea about your paint, but I suggest you ask Valerie (studio409) as I know she had painted poles, at least at first.

Awesome find!  Karma is great like that.

I painted a wagon, wheel barrow, and part of my van with Rustoleum brand paint for metal.  Used a blue shade that matched the van and it was really hard to tell where it was painted.  I have no idea what the grip would be like.  The wheelbarrow was used a ton for yardwork and never had the paint chip off.
