Finally got the superman!
I have been working on this move on and off for almost a year now! It's not the pain that gets to me, I actually have never found it very painful at all. My problem was not being able to get my hips to slide down away from that top hand, and without that slide my hand was much to close to my bottom. That leads to a superman angle where your head is lower than your feet instead of the other way around and I found it very hard to get a good grip with the top hand, I always felt like I was about to faceplant…and I usually did…onto the mat that was only about a foot away. (It would have been stupid to do it higher up at that point, lol)
Okay, so I haven't done much poling in…well…too long. And haven't worked on any new moves or nemesis moves in even longer. But I was on the pole yesterday and thought I would give it a go just for the hell of it. I nailed it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif Thinking it must be a fluke, I tried it again, and nailed it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif So I decided to get brave and invert at standing height to try one higher up (with the mats still underneath me just in case) and I nailed it again! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
I think I can finally say I have it! I can't wait to polish it up and try to get it into my routine for the next Toronto showcase. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
